Dear Worshipful Brother Duff:
I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to you for recommending me for the Outstanding Past Master’s Award, given annually by the Society of Past Masters. It is with a great deal of humility I accept this prestigious award.
The services I have been able to render to Oakley Lodge No 668 and to individual Brothers, have been made possible, mainly because of the co-operation and accord that I have always received. My work at Oakley Lodge No 668 has been to me, a real labor of love. My reward truly has been as continuous as my service, for I have watched the progress and advancement of my Brethren as partly the result of my assistance and advice. I am honored and pleased, to have observed the succession of officers, under the astute leadership of our beloved Past Masters, working diligently and selflessly for the benefit of their lodge and Brothers.I trust I have done something, if ever so little, during the time I have been a member of this fine lodge, to encourage emulation in the realm of high personal Masonic endeavor. I am proud to say, that even with all the unrest and false teachings of the day, the foundation of the Craft stands as firm as a rock. Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth will always prevail, and it is in times of uncertainty that the fundamental principles of Freemasonry, are so much needed. The greatest pleasure of life is not in getting, but in giving; giving for a Brothers necessity; giving up anything short of principles to secure truth, peace and accord; glorying in the success of others. In other words, the conscientious, constant practice, of unselfishness.
Thank you again, Worship Brother Duff, for this honor. I have enjoyed, over the many years, every moment of Freemasonry, the camaraderie of my Brothers at Oakley, but more importantly, being associated with the greatest group of individuals one may find.
Fraternally and sincerely,
Keith Clepper, P. M.
